SureSync Workstation & Workstation Add-on Licensing

Need assistance? Contact Software Pursuits' Sales Team. SureSync Workstation Licensing is used when synchronizing files between workstations. Workstations are classified as any machine running a workstation version of a Windows operating system. For example, Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP Professional.

A single base workstation license will allow you to synchronize data between drives on the same machine SureSync is installed on and any number of remote workstations on your network. A workstation license will also allow you to synchronize data between the workstation and up to 2 servers.

PC-to-PC Example: In the PC-to-PC example to the right, the minimum licensing required is 1 SureSync Workstation License. With SureSync installed on PC 1, you can replicate files to and from the Laptop / PC 2 to PC1. Note that files cannot be replicated directly between the Laptop & PC 2.

If you wanted features included in the SPIAgent and File Locking Add-ons, the PC-to-PC example also shows that you would need 3 SPIAgent Workstation Add-on Licenses and 3 File Locking Workstation Add-on Licenses.

Optional Add-on Product Licensing

SureSync's Optional Add-on products require the base product be licensed fully to ensure your replication & synchronization tasks are performing correctly. Click on the Add-on products below to learn more:
