Software Pursuits, Inc., Releases New Version of BootBack ™

SAN MATEO, CA – Software Pursuits , Inc., today released a new version of its Windows® server and workstation product, BootBack ™, utilized as a convenient tool for recovering “crashed systems”; maintaining multiple “snapshots” of Windows® operating system(s), including different versions; and protecting computers in lab environments.

The new release adds features including the ability to compress snapshots, support of non-English versions of the Microsoft® operating systems, and an option to exclude Microsoft’s System Restore data during a snapshot copy.

For those users working in the arena of tech-support, BootBack provides a simple and inexpensive way to restore a system to full use after software corruptions render the system non-bootable—in a few seconds instead of hours – while maintaining up-to-date data, stored on the system volume, after restoration. The result is an increase in network efficiency and a reduction in IT staff repair time, substantially improving the efficiency of the organization.
