SOFTWARE PURSUITS, INC. ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF SURESYNC™VERSION 6.0
San Mateo, CA - The newest version of SureSync is packed with new features to make synchronization more efficient and provide easier to access data about synchronization status. Below are just a few of the new features in SureSync 6.0:
Multi-Threaded Replication Engine: SureSync 6.0 introduces a new multi-threaded replication engine that can copy multiple files in parallel. By default, SureSync will determine the number of worker threads to use for synchronization. This value can be modified by users, but it is recommended to maintain the default settings and allow SureSync to optimize performance.
Enterprise Status: The new Enterprise Status panel gives you an "eye in the sky" view of the status of all Scheduled and Real-Time jobs. Not only can you view the status of jobs running on your local SureSync machine, but you can also connect and view the status of jobs on remote installations of SureSync. Enterprise Status also gives you the option to start and stop jobs, view the job logs, and sort job statistics. Click on the thumbnail to view a larger image:
Detailed Job Status: Much improved from version 5.0's SyncStatus, the new Detailed Status Panel gives you detailed information on a specific job being run with SureSync. In addition to showing the progress of files as they are being copied, Detailed Status also displays multiple counters for job statistics. Those counters that are identified with '*' can be moused over for additional information. For example, the new "Actions Queued" counter, will display a list of files that are waiting to be replicated. Click on the thumbnail to view a larger image:
Change Journal Support for Scheduled Jobs: Scheduled jobs that use SPIAgent connections will now use the MS Change Journal to minimize the amount of scanning performed when the schedule launches. If you haven't tested the SPIAgent before, this feature definitely gives you reason to do so. After you upgrade SureSync, contact our Sales Team and request a trial for the SPIAgent.
Enhanced File Locking: Our File Locking Add-on now supports 64-bit Operating Systems and also includes several enhancements. Changes have been made to handle lost connections with more efficiency as each SPIAgent machine will maintain its own lock list and will synchronize these lock lists when connections are reestablished.
