Instant System Recovery
BootBack offers a first line of defense to protect Windows servers and workstations from threats such as Operating System failures, faulty upgrades, application failures and even virus attacks. BootBack's snapshot technology and ability to quickly boot an operating system back to a previous state provides a solution that greatly reduces the amount of time put forth in troubleshooting as well as decreases the time a system is down.BootBack is intended to protect a user's system from threats which cause downtime. We suggest you use BootBack to complement your current data protection methods. Software Pursuits SureSync and ArchiveSync products give you two different methods to protect data files.
BootBack in Computer Labs - Maintain a "Clean" Machine Each Reboot
BootBack is an ideal solution for computers used in lab or test environments where multiple users access the computers and changes by the different users are not supposed to be stored locally. BootBack's freeze snapshot features allows administrators to configure a machine to reboot to the same clean state each and every time the machine is booted. The clean snapshot will ensure the machine will not include any users changes, downloads, or attempts to alter the computer.
Snapshot Technology
BootBack takes snapshots of the current state of the user’s system and applications software, based on a schedule or on demand. Snapshots can be configured to exclude folders that are not required for snapshot backups. Periodic updates of snapshots are typically very fast since only changed files are updated. System resources are minimized with a user-selectable priority.
Recovery from System Crash
Following a system crash, the user can immediately fall back to the most recent and uncorrupted snapshot during a system reboot, nearly eliminating system downtime.
