Corporate Background
Software Pursuits, Inc. (SPI) has been designing and delivering innovative software solutions for enterprise information systems since 1975. Its founders started with a passion for making complex computing tasks simple by creating software solutions that are flexible, easy-to-use, and reliable.
Today, SPI continues to employ IT professionals who understand the intricacies of their customers' problems. SPI believes that problems can easily be addressed by providing dependable, predictable performance in both products and services. The company maintains its dedication to provide the highest level of support to its customers.
SPI's products are available worldwide through resellers, direct sales, and the Internet. The company is profitable and privately held.
Markets
Software Pursuits has traditionally supported companies who maintain Data Processing/Information Systems departments with mainframes and/or networked systems. The newest product line for server and PC file management extends their market to companies with multiple servers or with users located at remote sites.
There are currently over 1,500 organizations with SPI software installed. Many corporate accounts have been loyal customers for more than 20 years.
Windows Products
The SureSync family of software products supports corporate networks. SureSync is file replication and synchronization software designed to keep files accurately replicated and synchronized throughout a company's network across local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), or on remote PCs.
Enterprise customers use SureSync for file sharing, disaster recovery, and software and content distribution. SureSync's SPIAgent option allows continuous synchronizations, keeping files up-to-date in all locations as they change. The SPIAgent option also permits extremely efficient transmissions, with Adaptive Delta Technology, file compression, QoS (Quality of Service) and many other features.
Mainframe Products
SPRI is a spooler and document distribution system for VSE mainframe installations. Ideally suited for companies such as direct mail houses, SPRI dramatically reduces the time required for large print jobs and replaces manual collation of reports with flexible report management tools. It is extremely fast and efficient and has more capability than any other document-handling program.
Other VSE and VM products currently available include:
- MVT/VSE - a plug compatible alternative to IBM's VSE operating system
- SPI/DOCS - a console manager and automated operations facility for VSE
- PLF - a Procedure Language Facility for controlling VSE jobs
