Improve File Locking Transparency with SyncLockStatus Add-on for SureSync Collaboration
File sharing between remote sites can be tricky, but the SureSync Collaboration Bundle greatly simplifies the process by providing real-time synchronization and file locking.
The issue with many synchronization products is not only the lack of file locking, but also the lack of file sharing transparency to the end users who actually use and edit the files. In fact many replication and synchronization products cause more frustration for end users and IT departments with constant messages about file conflicts and lost file changes.

SyncLockStatus provides the transparency of the file locking process end users need, when updating files and working collaboratively with colleagues in remote locations. When users open files on the same server, one user is often prompted with a notice that states another user has the file open and asks if they want read-only access. When sharing files between remote sites, this isn't always the case.
SyncLockStatus will always keep users in the know, notifying them when another user has that file open and in use. It will also notify them when the original user who opened the file has closed the file and it is available for read/write access.
